A New Old Addition to the Joint Event

As I've mentioned before the 4th Annual Joint event will be taking place on August 27th at 3600 Glenwood Ave. We're excited to announce that again this year IREM will be joining the rest of the group. For the fourth year now TCAR, TCREW, BOMA, NAIOP, NC CCIM and now IREM will do a fund raising, networking event with food, beer, wine and DJ Joe Bunn.

So when you show up on the 27th make sure you're dressed in your school colors because we want everyone to show their school spirit. Second, you need to bring two canned food goods for our donation. I'll get to who were donating to in a minute. You do that, you get a free raffle ticket. We have some great raffle prizes. First off there are two tail gating tents we're raffling. There are a pair of tickets to an NC State Game, two tickets to a UNC game, there are tickets to the U2 concert coming up and there is an overnight to Charlotte to see the Panthers play, just to name a few.

Proceeds will benefit the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. They started 20 years ago with the belief that hunger is unacceptable and have developed systems that prepare and distribute food to the area's poor, hungry, undernourished and homeless. As we all are aware the economic situation has added stresss to organizations like this and they need more food. For more information on the Food Shuttle go to www.foodshuttle.org/aboutus.html.

If you want to register, you will have to go to the website tcar.com or call the office 919-228-2588 as there is a $15 charge per person. This a great opportunity to network with hundreds of people that are in commercial real estate.

We want to thank our Gold Sponsors Highwood Properties, Inc, Shelco and Hager Smith Design. We're still looking for $500 Silver Sponsors so if you're interested in that, let me know. You have an opportunity to put up a table, get free tickets to the event and a chance to get your companies name in front of over 900 members. Your name goes onto all blasts that go out to all the members of the groups involved in the Joint Event.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and try to stay cool!
